C-14 Title I Supplemental Educational Services Contract (Revised)

Issue/Rationale

Approval of the Supplemental Educational Services Contract between the School District of Clay County and State approved Supplemental Educational Providers.

Supplemental Providers provide after school tutoring for students on free and reduced lunch in Title I Schools that have not made Adequate Yearly Progress for at least three years in a row. This is a requirement under the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001.

Recommended Action
Recommend Approval of the contract.

Financial Impact

The Title I Grant provides the funds for the after school tutoring. For the 2006/2007 school year, this amount will be approximately $370, 746.
