May 2006 Regular Meeting Agenda Item #47 Item Title C-52 Deductive Change Order #1 for Re-Roofing Buildings 1, 2, 3 & 4 at Clay Hill Elementary (Revised) Issue/Rationale Direct purchasing change orders are almost always deductive and are the sole initiative of the owner. These change orders represent the purchase of materials and/or equipment directly by the School Board in order to save the sales tax. The direct purchases are deducted from the original contract in the form of a change order. Recommended Action Approve the Deductive Change Order as submitted. Financial Impact This deduction from the construction contract in the amount of $27,280.87 will not impact the budget. A total tax savings in the amount of $1,591.37 is realized as a result of this direct purchasing change order. Submitted By Thomas L.
