C-57 Award the Construction Manager At-Risk Contract for Charles E. Bennett Elementary Classroom Replacement (Revised)

Issue/Rationale

Construction Management At-Risk has been approved by the School Board as the Project Delivery method for Charles E. Bennett Classroom Replacement. The process to appoint a Construction Manager At-Risk is in accordance with State Requirements for Educational Facilities and Florida Statutes. See attachment for full back-up.

Recommended Action
Appoint the top ranked company, MM Parish Construction Company, as Construction Manager At-Risk.

Financial Impact
Based on the District’s target construction cost of $6,000,000.00, the fee for the Construction Manager is fixed at $51,000.00 (.85%) for preconstruction services and 4.25% of the GMP for construction services. The total amount is estimated to be $6,306,000.00.
