Issue Rationale for renewals as required per FS 287, DOE 6A-1.01 and School Board Policy

a.  Electrical Construction, Repair and Connection for Existing and/or New Construction and Relocatable

     Classroom –  County Wide Bid #10-F-203.  The first lowest bidder has been unable to meet the requirements

     of our contract so the District has requested them to be released from existing contract.  Letters are attached

     supporting Districts request and contractors response.  This is a reasonable request due to the continuing work

     requested by our Facilities Department.  Contract Period is March 19, 2010 through March 17, 2011 (1^st renewal).     

Extend renewals as follows:

·               North Florida Electrical Contractors, 1225 W. Beaver Street, Suite 124, Jacksonville, FL  32204

     First / Second / Third lowest bidders are now tied - A Request for Sealed Quote for all projects shall be

     solicited from the 3 lowest bidders – To Award:

·            Parks Electric, Inc., P.O. Box 326, Middleburg, FL 

·            T & M Electric, Inc, 200 College Drive, Orange Park, FL  32065

·            Bodie Electrical Contractors, 2973 Edgewood Avenue West, Jacksonville, FL  32209
