Issue/Rationale

This project is listed in the 2009-2010 Educational Facilities Plan. The award of a construction project in excess of $25,000.00 requires School Board approval.

The bid opening was held Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. The project had nineteen (19) bidders and fifteen (15) bidders met the bid requirements.

Recommended Action
Award the construction contract to Hashman Construction, Inc., the low bidder meeting specifications, the base bid in the amount of $1,275,857.00.

Financial Impact

The low bidder meeting specifications, Hashman Construction, Inc. had a total bid award of $1,275,857.00. The funds are available and budgeted in the Educational Facilities Plan.
