Approval of this item would allow the Board Attorney to create an agreement signed by the Superintendent by which the School Board would transfer custody of the District’s historical records to the Clerk of the Court through The Charles E, Merrill Educational Resource Center & Clay County Archives. They would be reconditioned and preserved so that they would be available for future generations. The Board/District would have continued access to said documents and could retake possession of said records should the need arise. The Superintendent, through a designee would maintain an inventory of said documents.
