Issue/Rationale
Barbara Jean Jones, referred herein as "respondent," appealed the Board's initial approval of the Superintendent's recommendation that she be terminated for cause. The hearing officer, Carol Vallencourt, after a full hearing, has signed a Recommended Order affirming respondent's termination and denying her appeal. Respondent, through her attorney, has filed Exceptions to the Recommended Order, and the Superintendent, through his attorney, has filed a response to said Exceptions. The hearing officer has reviewed Respondent's Exceptions and found them to be without merit.
It is up to the full Board to either (1) grant Respondent's appeal thereby rejecting the Superintendent's and Hearing Officer Vallencourt's recommendation, or (2) adopt Hearing Officer Vallencourt's Recommended Order, thereby rejecting Respondent's exceptions.
Recommended Action
Adopt the hearing officer's Recommended Order as a Final Order and reject Respondent's Exceptions.
