C-7 Amend the 2006-2007 Salary Schedule
Issue/Rationale
The Florida Minimum Wage will increase January 1, 2007, from $6.40 per hour to $6.67 per hour. Hourly rates of pay below the new minimum wage have been adjusted accordingly. Non-bargaining unit positions tied to the minimum wage rate have been adjusted to compensate for the $0.27 hourly increase.
Recommended Action
Approve the salary schedule amendments.
Financial Impact
Hourly increase of $0.27 per hour for support substitutes who currently earn $8.00 per hour or less, all Student Labor, Temporary Adult Labor, and some Staff Development participants. For those individuals working a full-time temporary position, this equates to an increase of $10.12 per week.
