The Board must authorize any additional contribution it makes to the Superintendent's salary each year.  The Superintendent's official base salary is calculated and certified by the Florida Legislative Committee on Intergovernmental Relations.  An additional $2000 is added to our Superintendent's salary as a result of his having earned the State Superintendent's certification.

The proposed Board contribution to our Superintendent's total salary for 2006-2007 will result in an increase of 9.4%, equivalent to that approved for certified groups for 2006-2007.

If approved, the Board's 2006-2007 contribution to the Superintendent's salary will be $17,596.55.
