C-31 License Agreement with the State of Florida Department of Transportation

Issue/Rationale

In 2 - 3 years the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is planning to expand Blanding Blvd in the area of Middleburg to six lanes. We have a paved entrance/exit onto Blanding Boulevard from Middleburg High. When they repave and add lanes to Blanding Boulevard, the final elevation of the road and our entrance will not be the same. FDOT is requesting permission to be able to blend the two surfaces together when they do their work so that there will not be a bump between our entrance and Blanding Blvd. The School Board of Clay County does not buy, sell, or give up any rights to any property with this Agreement.

Recommended Action

Approve the Agreement.
