Issue/Rationale

School Board Policy 6GX-10-1.02.E. states the regular meetings of the School Board shall be held on the third Thursday of each month.  Therefore, School Board approval is required to move a regular meeting.  There are no other meetings scheduled prior to the November meeting whereby this action can be taken.  It is in the best interest of the School Board to consider this matter on an emergency basis so that the regular meeting can be held on the same date as the required reorganization meeting. 



Recommended Action
Declare that an emergency exists, that being the need for official action of the Board to move the November regular meeting to coincide with the reorganization meeting.
