C-40 Orange Park High School West Campus Renovation/Remodel Contract Award

Issue/Rationale

This project is listed in the 2011/2012 Educational Facilities Plan.  The award of a construction project in excess of $25,000.00 requires School Board approval.

 

The bid opening was held Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.  The project had sixteen (16) bidders and all bidders met the bid requirements. 



Recommended Action

Award the construction contract to AC General, Inc., the low bidder meeting specifications, the base bid in the amount of $4,640,000.00 and Deductive Alternates 1 through 7 for a total bid award of 3,558,000.00.



Financial Impact

The low bidder meeting specifications, AC General, Inc., has a total bid award of $3,558,000.00.  These funds are available and budgeted in the Educational Facilities Plan.
