Request approval to officially reschedule the regular November school board meeting to coincide with the reorganization meeting which by Florida Statute must be held on the third Tuesday after the first Monday in November of each year  B Tuesday, November 21, 2006                                   

ISSUE:

School Board Policy 6GX-10-1.02.E. states the regular meetings of the School Board shall be held on the third Thursday of each month.  Regular meetings can be changed by action of the School Board at any previous meeting.  Section 1001.371, Florida Statutes, requires that the school board reorganization meeting be held the third Tuesday after the first Monday in November each year.  In order to hold both meetings on the same date in November, the regular meeting must be changed to coincide with the reorganization meeting.

Reschedule the regular November meeting as recommended to Tuesday, November 21, 2006.
