September 10, 2015 - Special Meeting-Public Hearing on the Budget Agenda Item #6 Item Title Adopt the 2015-16 Required Local Effort Mill Levy Issue/Rationale The District's Required Local Effort (RLE) is from the gross calculation of Florida Education Program (FEFP) dollars.  Millage rates are also adjusted because required local effort may not exceed 90 percent of a district's total FEFP entitlement.  In order to receive state funding, school districts must levy the local property tax millage set by the legislature. Recommended Action Motion to adopt the required local effort mill levy of 4.8890 mills which is 0.46 percent more than the rolled-back rate.
