C-33 Substantial and Final Completion of Orange Park High School Building 12, Air Handler, Light Fixtures and Ceiling Replacement
Issue/Rationale
Establish a Substantial and Final Completion date formally for audit purposes, and as required by the State Requirements for Educational Facilities and Florida Statutes. These dates are determined by the Project Manager in accordance with project documents. Substantial Completion was achieved on August 12, 2009 and Final Completion was achieved on August 29, 2009.
The project, as determined by the Project Manager and Project Engineer (KPI Engineering, Inc.), is substantially and finally complete and in accordance with the project documents. Liquidated damages are specified in the contract; therefore, a substantial and final completion date must be formally established. Contractor: Weather Engineers, Inc.
Recommended Action
Approve Substantial and Final Completion.
