September 17, 2009 Regular Meeting with Public Hearing on Budget Agenda Item #10 Item Title Adopt the 2009-10 discretionary critical needs (operating) mill levy Issue/Rationale If the district chooses to levy the supplemental critical operating needs mill levy.  (The .25 Equalization shown previously is to districts who do not generate at least $149.35 per student with the levy for 2009-10.) Recommended Action Motion to adopt the supplemental critical operating needs mill levy of 0.250 which is (6.09) percent less than the rolled-back rate. Financial Impact The levy will generate $2,498,559 to Fund 100, and $2,862,877 in compression adjustment. Submitted By Dr. George F.
