September 22, 2008 Special Meeting Agenda Item #9 Item Title Adopt the 2008-09 capital improvement fund mill levy Issue/Rationale 1.750 Mill Levy - Section 1011.71(2), F.S., for new construction and remodeling, maintenance, renovations, and repairs of existing school plants or of leased facilities; the purchase, lease-purchase or lease of school buses or new and replacement equipment; payments for facilities and sites an amount equal to three-fourths of the proceeds from the millage; payment of costs of leasing relocatable educational facilities. Recommended Action Motion to adopt the capital improvement fund mill levy of 1.75 which is (0.127) percent less than the rolled-back rate.
