Pursuant to Florida Statute 163.01 and 212.055(2)(d)(1)(f), the County and School Board are agreeing that the County shall provide financial support to the School Board for a period of one year, commencing on January 1, 2020 and ending on December 31, 2020, which support shall be in a total amount not to exceed One Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,600,000.00) and which support is limited to reimbursement for expenses incurred by the School Board during the term of the agreement related to instructional technology for use solely in the school district’s classrooms as defined in Section 212.055(2)(d)(1)(f), Florida Statutes as “an interactive device that assists a teacher in instructing a class or group of students and includes the necessary hardware and software to operate the interactive device,” as well as other associated support systems. (“Qualified Expenses”) Requests for payment shall be submitted quarterly. The reimbursement per quarter shall not exceed 25% of the total funding allocation except to the extent that each successive quarterly reimbursement shall be cumulative for the year to date percentage of the allocation. .

Approval of this item will allow the School Board, upon proper application,  to be reimbursed by the County for certain technology expenditures up to a maximum total for the 2020 calendar year of One Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,600,000.00). The term of this Agreement shall be effective  from January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020.
