CCDS has requested that the due date in the existing contract with St. Johns Classical Academy and Clay Charter for the annual financial audit be amended.  The current contract states:

The school will provide a copy of its annual financial audit (including any School responses to audit findings) to the Sponsor no later than September 30.  (P. 29&30 Section 4.G.3.iv)

We have requested the amended language: The School will provide a copy of its annual financial audit (including any School responses to audit findings) to the Sponsor no later than September 1.

Due to a state reporting deadline of September 11, the district needs the charter school’s report provided to the Business Affairs department by September 1 in order to allow time to process.

St. Johns Classical Academy took the requested amendment to their Board on Monday, March 4 where it was approved and signed.  The next Board meeting for Clay Charter is held in April. With CCDS Board approval and signatures, Clay Charter can take the amended contract to their Board in April.
