C27 - Petty Cash Funds for 2016/17 Fiscal Year at Adult and Community Education
State Board of Education Rule 6A-1.057 authorizes the use of petty cash funds for small expenditures for the operation of schools. Each fund should be authorized by the School Board as to the amount and the specific person responsible for the fund.
Petty cash funds are used by the schools/departments for postage and other incidental purchases under $50 where it is not feasible for a purchase order to be issued.
It has been a past practice to approve petty cash funds at the schools for small expenditures.
Petty cash funds will be approved and provided to schools to purchase impromptu expenses.
Ensure fiscal responsibility and equitable distribution of resources.
That the Clay County School Board approve the petty cash funds at Adult and Community Education for the 2016/17 fiscal year in the amount of $200, with Shannah Kosek being responsible for the fund.
