In accordance with the signed CCUA Development agreement, dated February 1, 2018 (Item 9: Easements) and (Item 33: “School Board shall grant an easement to the Utility…”) CCUA is requesting Utility Easements (see Attachment).

Approval of the Utility Easements will allow CCUA to connect DOE to water, wastewater lines, laterals, and fire mains necessary for school safety and operations.

Per staff recommendations, the Board has approved previous CCUA Grants of Utility Easement.

Based on previous decisions, Board approvals are expected for both CCUA Grants of Utility Easement.

Ensure effective management of the organization, operations, and facilities to maximize the use of resources and promote a safe, efficient, and effective learning environment for Clay County students.  SDCC educational facilities should provide top tier facilities that afford teachers and students the ability to reach their highest potential. 

Approve CCUA’s request for Grant of Utility Easements at Discovery Oaks Elementary School (DOE).
