Title C22 - School Naming Committee Member Selection – Elementary School “Y” | ||
Description Per CCDS Operations Policy: “The committee membership shall consist of a minimum of two (2) lay people who live in the area in which the site is located and who are designated by consensus of the School Board, two (2) staff members as designated by the Superintendent, and the Assistant Superintendent for Operations. | ||
Gap Analysis Currently there is only designation “Y” for the new school. A proper name for the new school is desired using the following criteria as guideline “…the use of historical figures, the history, general location or features of the area, or goals of the school.” Names should be presented to the Superintendent by December 2017. | ||

Expected Outcomes The nominated individuals forming the committee will meet from time to time and select five (5) names. These five (5) will be presented to the Superintendent, who shall in turn present at least three (3) to the School Board for final selection. | ||
Strategic Plan Goal Ensure effective management of the organization, operations, and facilities to maximize the use of resources and promote a safe, efficient, and effective learning environment for Clay County students. SDCC educational facilities should provide top tier facilities that afford teachers and students the ability to reach their highest potential. | ||
Recommendation Designate by consensus, membership of the Elementary School “Y” naming committee. | ||
