Title C8 - Suite 360 Mental Health, Child Trafficking, and Substance Use Curriculum | ||
Description Suite 360 is a web based Mental Health and Prevention curriculum. The Mental Health curriculum is specifically tailored to meet FLDOE required instruction topics of mental health, substance abuse and child trafficking. Suite 360 Intervention provides restorative justice and intervention content to reduce risk factors for students at Bannerman Learning Center. According to the National Center Brief, 2009 pg.5-6- “Students who participate in (the Restorative Practices) process are more likely to gain a positive attitude toward authority and to the concepts of fairness and justice.” | ||
Gap Analysis Suite 360 modules will enable CCDS to ensure the required instruction five hours of required instruction on substance use and abuse (Rule 6A-1.094122, F.A.C.), child trafficking prevention and awareness (Rule 6A-1.094123, F.A.C.), and mental and emotional health education (Rule 6A-1.094121, F.A.C.) is facilitated for students in all educational settings for the 20-21 school year, including online or hybrid options. | ||
Previous Outcomes New Program | ||
Expected Outcomes All students in Clay county will have a working knowledge of substance abuse, child trafficking and mental health awareness. Students at Bannerman Learning Center would have discipline situations turned into learning opportunities based on their infractions. Students will gain positive attitudes towards the concepts of fairness and justice.
