2. Review, Discuss, and Revise Draft Policy for Establishing the Citizen Oversight Committee to Provide Oversight for Expenditures of the Half-Cent Discretionary Sales Surtax | |||
Minutes: School Board Attorney Bruce Bickner shared draft proposed School Board Policy 1.14, Sales Surtax Citizens Advisory Committee, incorporating revisions and concerns previously brought to his attention by board members. Lengthy discussion ensued as each section was reviewed and analyzed, resulting in further requests for revisions to be made to the proposed policy. |

Minutes: Superintendent Broskie advised that a tentative agreement has been reached with Clay County Education Association that honors and supports veteran teachers while maintaining fiscal responsibility. If ratified and approved by the board, the agreement will be submitted to the state for approval. |

4. School Board Member Comments | |||
Minutes: Board members collectively expressed gratitude and well wishes for the holiday season. Mrs. Clark reported that she was impressed with the grand jury report on public safety. Mrs. Kerekes is pleased with the policy development accomplished today and the contributions of all participants.
