The Board engaged in lengthy discussion about the recent investigation of alleged fraud within the ESE Department.  Concern was expressed by several Board members that further investigation might be warranted. 

Speaker:  Tracy Butler feels there are additional people that have been afraid to come forward.  

Following discussion, motion was made by Carol Studdard, seconded by Ashley Gilhousen, for Chairman Kerekes to write a letter to the Inspector General to be added to the December 15th board agenda for review by the full Board.  

Motion carried 5-0 

Discussion ensued about the Whistle Blower Act.  Mr. Davis agreed to review the Board's policy concerning this issue.  

Teresa Stepzinski, a reporter for the Florida Times-Union, made a formal public records request for the report and letter.  

Further discussion included whether or not the document was public record if the investigation is not complete and the Board believes further investigation is warranted.
