Description

The selection was conducted in accordance with Florida Statute 287.055.  The project was advertised for three consecutive weeks with The Clay Today.  Selection Committee members were James Connell, Director of Facility Planning and Construction, Bryce Ellis, Project Manager, Jeffrey Marks, Project Manager and Janice Kerekes, School Board Member.  

As a result of interviews and after due consideration, the Selection Committee recommends the following firms as listed in priority order:

1.  H2Engineering

2.  McVeigh & Mangum Engineering, Inc.

3.  TLC Engineering for Architecture

Recommendation

Appoint the top ranked firm, H2Engineering, at a fee of 8% of the construction cost for Orange Park High School HVAC Replacement, Building 4 (Gymnasium).

Financial Impact
All funding necessary for the Engineering fees resulting from this contract are budgeted within the Educational Facilities Plan for this Fiscal Year. The exact amount of fees cannot be determined at this time, but are estimated to be $80,000.00.
