Title Recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month Contest Winner | ||
Description Governor Ron DeSantis and First Lady Casey DeSantis announced this year's Hispanic Month student contest winners. This year, students wrote essays that reflected the theme "Celebrating Florida's Hispanic Heroes and Their Contributions to Freedom." Hispanic Heritage Month is recognized and celebrated in the United States from September 15th to October 15th. Joseph Norman, Oakleaf Junior High, 7th grade, was chosen as one of two middle school student winners across the state. Winners received a two-year Florida College Plan scholarship provided by Florida Prepaid College Foundation and a $100 gift card for school supplies. | ||
