Title C3 - Approve Resolution #24-07 determining tangible personal property to be surplus and donating said property to the family of Madaline “Maddy” Laub.
Description Maddy Laub was an employee of the School Board of Clay County, Florida. She was the secretary to Judd Wilhelm. She died in 1999 after a prolonged illness. The employees of the ESE department placed a Stone monument and a bird bath/ fountain in the courtyard of the Professional Development Center 23 South Green Street, Green Cove Springs, Florida, in memory of Maddy Laub. She was well loved. Unfortunately no one still living or working for the School Board remembers Maddy and the memorial to her has fallen into disrepair, is non-functional and is deteriorating. The cost for repair and restoration would be condsiderable. The Laub family has requested that the School Board donate the memorial to them for restoration and placement at the Laub home, all at the expense of the Laub family. Florida Statutes require that the Board pass a Resolution determining that tangible personal property be classified as surplus before disposal can be done. The attached Resolution would meet that requirement.
