C25 - Resolution and Purchase Agreement for a portion of property at Ridgeview Elementary School
Description

Per land description and overhead depiction set forth in the attachment and letter from Foerster, Isaac and Yerkes letter dated November 16, 2018.  Mr. Hassan is seeking to purchase approximately one acre of (Clay County parcel: 40-04-25-020877-001-00) Ridgeview Elementary School, for $50,000 and no other considerations. This portion of the parcel is currently not in use nor is there planned future use to Ridgeview Elementary School.  Mr. Hassan is proposing to use the property as a driveway for his adjacent parcel (40-04-25-020897-003-00).  He had originally requested an easement from CCDS to use the parcel, liability would be too great, outright sale is recommended.

The Board has approved previous sale consideration of portions of school property not in use: 02/18; TES to CCUA.

Expected Outcomes

Approval of the resolution and purchase agreement allowing staff to move forward with the sale of CCDS real property.

Recommendation

Approve the resolution and purchase agreement for the sale of real property at Ridgeview Elementary School through real-estate conveyance to Mr. Fred Hassan for the sum of $50,000 (apprised by Ron Moody, Moody Appraisal Group).
