The contract between Episcopal Children's Services and the Clay County School District is important because it is required for our district to offer VPK (Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten).  By statute we are only required to offer a summer VPK program.   However, the Instructional Division is committed to providing free VPK to the citizens of Clay County year-round.  VPK helps build readiness for kindergarten.  It is a win-win for parents, students, teachers, schools, and our district as a whole.
