Description Following the review of the Tentative Budget and Millages, the School Board will be asked to approve the Advertisement for the 2023-24 Budget Summary, the Notice of Tax for School Capital Outlay, and the Notice of Proposed Tax Increase. | ||||||||||||||||||

Recommendation A. That the Clay County School Board accept the advertisement for the proposed 2023-2024 tentative budget and proposed levies as follows:
B. That the Clay County School Board authorize the publication of legal notices and advertisement of a public hearing to be held on August 1, 2023, at 5:05 p.m. on the proposed millage rates and the tentative budget in accordance with Sections 200.065 (2),(3),(10), 1011.71, 1011.03 Florida Statutes. The notices and advertisements will appear in The Clay Today on Thursday, July 27, 2023.

Financial Impact The proposed levies will generate approximately $122,804,804. School Districts must budget no more than 96% of the proposed revenue generated, equating to $117,892,612. | ||||||||||||||||||
