Description Issue Rationale for bids to be awarded as required per FS 287, DOE 6A-1.012 and School Board Policy a. Flooring Services – County Wide Bid #17-MA-311: Contract Period is June 2, 2017 through May 31, 2020. Bid established for the purchase, delivery and installation of Flooring: Carpet, VCT, Sheet Vinyl and Vinyl Base as needed County Wide determined by the Maintenance Department. Ten (10) bids solicited plus listed on our web site for down load and one (1) bid was received. The vendor awarded is the only responsive qualified bidder meeting specifications. This is a reasonable award due to the fact overall item pricing only increased 8% from the previous bid the same vendor held for the last five (5) years. The sole bidder's price is less than the compounded inflation rates based on the last 5 years according to the Bureau of Labor Statics.

Gap Analysis The District requires contractors and vendors to provide services to insure our facilities and equipment are maintained and functional. | ||
Previous Outcomes Prior Board approved Bids will be expiring soon and they have been used successfully during the past term providing quality services to the district.
