Description

A district employee was recently promoted to the position of Principal and assigned to Orange Park Junior High School.  It was discovered that a relative is a current Orange Park Junior High School employee.  School Board Policy 2.02D, provides that employees shall not be assigned to a position that creates a conflict of interest, which exists when the employee is under the supervision of a close relative.   Although, such a supervisor role will be assigned to another administrator; out of an abundance of caution, the Superintendent requests the Board's waiver of 2.02 D, in this circumstance.
