| Description These awards, sponsored by the Florida Council for the Social Studies, recognize teachers who facilitate and inspire student learning and creativity in grades K-12. This year, over 75 Clay County teachers were nominated by colleagues, administrators, students, and parents. Laura Dodson (POE), Clay County’s nominee for FCSS’s Outstanding Social Studies Teacher of the Year in the Elementary Division Karen Miller (OLJ), Clay County’s nominee for FCSS’s Outstanding Social Studies Teacher of the Year in the Middle School Division Kate Smith (CVA & FIH), Clay County’s nominee for FCSS’s Outstanding Social Studies Teacher of the Year in the Senior High Division Lorraine Evatt (WES), Clay County’s nominee for Prentice-Hall’s Excellence in Teaching History Award Joshua Hailey (LAJ), Clay County’s nominee for Holt-McDougal’s Warren Tracy Beginning Teacher (3 years or less) Award | ||
