Students have always been invited to speak during public comment. Starting in June 2026, the agenda will include a dedicated time for a student speaker to share their perspectives on a topic of their choosing.

To receive firsthand student perspectives in order to enhance board awareness and ensure student-centered decision-making.

Student Success  (Goal #1): Engage all students to attain the necessary skills and knowledge to be future-ready graduates.

Family and Community Engagement (Goal #3): Engage families and the community in the educational process to create robust learning opportunities and partnerships that support and prepare students to be successful throughout the K-12 educational experiences, leading to graduation and beyond.
