Title C3A - Wavier Related to Personnel Assignment
Description A district employee was recently promoted to the position of Supervisor II of Safety and Security. It was discovered that a relative is a current CCSPD Officer and is electing to transistion to a School Guardian Position. School Board Policy 2.02D, provides that employees shall not be assigned to a position that creates a conflict of interest, which exists when the employee is under the supervision of a close relative. It is in the best interest to retain fully trained officers to provide security for students and staff by allowing this officer to transition to a School Guardian position. Although, such a supervisor role will be assigned to another administrator; out of an abundance of caution, the Superintendent requests the Board's waiver of 2.02D, in this circumstance.
