Title C29 - Schematic/Preliminary/Final (Phase I, II and III) Plans and Specifications for Front Entrance Security Enhancements County-Wide
Description Plans and Specifications for Front Entrance Security Enhancements County-Wide. Gap Analysis: Several of our older buildings and schools were designed without the need for enhanced security measures that are required today. As a result, several of our older campuses permit visitors with unencumbered direct access to the rest of the school through the main office area. This project upgrade will enhance security by providing controlled access where visitors are first screened and then allowed access through electronically controlled entry ways. Security in these older facilities must be enhanced. Previous Outcomes: Visitors have direct access to the entire campus through the main office with no restrictions on movement. Expected Outcomes: This project will provide enhanced visitor control security at the administration buildings of our schools which serve as a single point of entry for most campuses. Security will be increased as well as an additional layer of protection will be provided to our campuses. Strategic Plan Goal: Ensure effective management of the organization, operations and facilities to maximize the use of resources; and promote a safe, efficient and effective learning environment for Clay County students.
