The contractual agreement between Barry University and the School District of Clay County will enable the School Board of Clay County to provide opportunities for Occupational Therapy (OTA) Assistants to gain hands-on experience in their field of study.  This is analogous to an education student completing a practicum with a teacher.  This contractual agreement can continue from year to year unless either party terminates.

GAP ANALYSIS:  The district does not have a relationship with Barry University.  This agreement will allow area students to participate in supervised experience with Clay County Schools.

PREVIOUS OUTCOMES:  District personnel has supervised OTA students from other similar programs successfully.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES:  Positive OTA experiences for area students.
