This contract with Mainspring Academy will serve one Clay County student in this alternate educational placement.  Providing highly specialized supports required by the student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP), this contact covers the later part of the 16-17 school year and partial Extended School Year services (ESY) through June 30, 2017.

The IEP team has provided a series of increasingly extensive supports for this youngster. The necessary services for this student include intensive behavioral supports provided by a team of highly trained professionals in an intensive therapeutic environment.

A diverse number of placements have previously been utilized for this student.  The IEP team has determined greater supports are necessary in order to provide a free appropriate public education (FAPE).  Mainspring Academy last served a Clay County student during the 2014-15 school year.

 Placement at Mainspring Academy is expected to meet the student’s IEP goals and provide FAPE.
