Description

A mutual agreement allowing UNF Brooks College of Health athletic training program students an internship setting with School Board of Clay County athletic training provider Preferred Physical Therapy

Gap Analysis

This agreement helps enhance student athlete safety, provides internship opportunities and attracts new graduates to Clay County.

Previous Outcomes

Clay County has had a positive relationship working with UNF and Preferred Physical Therapy to provide our athletic programs with additional intern support over the past three years. UNF students build positive relationships with Preferred Physical Therapy which improves the future athletic training hiring pool.

Expected Outcomes

Clay County student athletes and athletic programs will benefit from this agreement by having more athletic trainers available to cover athletic events. This agreement will also help attract new athletic trainers to the district and improve the pool of potential athletic training candidates for the future.

Strategic Plan Goal

Goal 1: Develop a high quality and aligned instructional system

Strategy 1.3: Prepare all students to be full option graduates who are prepared for college, eligible to enlist in military services, or able to compete in the workforce.
