The School Board of Clay County has a current affiliation agreement with Florida State University that pertains to teacher interns within our schools. This new agreement would allow for the same agreement but for masters level school counseling interns. This includes both traditional interns and current employees who are placed as out of field school counselors.

Current and prospective school counselors rely on CCDS for placement at internship sites to ensure their completion of School Counseling Master’s degree programs and state certification requirements. This continued agreement is vital to our placement of qualified school counselors. The addition of multiple universities with affiliation agreements also increases the options for our out of field school counselors to have access to the coursework needed to become fully certified.
