CCUA has expressed an interest in purchasing, or leasing the water plant and an area immediately surrounding the water plant at Tynes Elementary School.  The purpose of this purchase/lease would be to convert the current plant into a reclaimed water distribution plant for the local area.  The Tynes Elementary water plant and waste water plant were taken off-line in 2008 and connected to CCUA services for potable water and waste water.  The only function of the current water plant is to provide fire protection service to the sprinklers on the stage and fire hydrants around the campus.  Any agreement with CCUA would ensure that these services would be maintained through other means.

Approve staff to continue negotiations with CCUA.
