Law enforcement agencies are authorized by Florida Statute 23, Florida Mutual Aid Act, to enter into mutual aid agreements to allow agencies to join forces to adequately respond to emergency situations and to handle multi-jurisdictional law enforcement problems. The agreement attached to this agenda item is such an agreement.
