Description TRIM requires two public hearings for open discussion of millage rates and budgets of taxing authorities. The first hearing was held on August 1, 2017 at 5:01 p.m. to adopt the proposed millage and the Tentative Budget. The second hearing is to adopt the final millage and the Budget for the 2017-2018 school year. The first substantive issue discussed by the governing body of taxing authority is the percentage increases or decrease in millage over the rolled-back rate necessary to fund the budget, if any. The second is to discuss any major modifications to the Final budget for 2017-2018. The general public is allowed to speak and ask questions prior to adoption of any measures by the governing body.
