C19 - Approval to Advertise and Notice of Public Hearing to Approve Board Policy, to wit: General Order 9.17, which General Order sets forth requirements relating to school safety, reporting and training, as amended per the requirements of statutory changes.
Description

The School Board, previously approved Standard Operating Procedure 9.26. That Procedure has been re-designated a General Order and Amended to meet the requirements of the 2021 legislation. Additional amendments have been added which make the General Order more workable from the District standpoint. The General Order, as amended sets forth requirements relating to school safety, reporting and training.

Expected Outcomes

Approval of this item will allow the School Board to advertise the proposed adoption and public hearing of the proposed rule/General Order which will lead to consideration of the passage of the Rule/General Order by the school Board. The Amended General Order will be advertised, submitted to the public for comment, and to the Board for public hearing and consideration in the manner contemplated by the Administrative Procedures Act.
