Description

This contract continues counseling services required for students with significant behavioral disabilities.  Services are provided by employees of Clay Behavioral Health Center, Inc., on school campuses.

Counseling is a mandated service specified in a student’s Individual Education Plan.

Gap Analysis

Mental health counseling services are frequently required for students with disabilities.  Contracting for those services with Clay Behavioral Health Center remains the most efficient method of providing services for eligible ESE students.

Previous Outcomes

The district has contracted with Clay Behavioral Health Center since 1998. 

Expected Outcomes

This contract provides counseling services to ESE students as determined by the Individual Education Plan (IEP).  Services are required under the Individual with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

Financial Impact
Using a contractor is the most cost efficient way to provide these services. The cost for services is approximately $70,000.00.
