D2 - Approve Resolution for Half-Cent Sales Tax to appear on November 2020 General Election Ballot (Studdard)
In order for the School Board to place the question of the half-cent sales tax before the voters, the School Board must approve a Resolution asking that the Board of County Commission place the matter on the ballot. The 2020 general election is the next scheduled election.
The Resolution must be approved levying a half-cent sales surtax in order to place this before the County Commission for placement on the ballot.
School Board previously passed a similar Resolution which was rejected by the Board of County Commission.
It is expected that the Board of County Commission will place the matter on the 2020 ballot for determination by the voters.
