Effective July 2, 2024, the State Board of Education (SBOE) approved amendments to existing Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C) Rule 6A-1.0018 and 6A-1.0019, School Safety Requirements and Monitoring, and Threat Management respectively. The updated policies will bring us into compliance with the new legislation regarding compliance monitoring, threat management policy (CSTAG → Florida Model), drill language clarifications, and various other  requirements found in the above state rules/statutes. These policies also reflect the change (as of 7/1/24) from the CCDS Police force to our agreements with Clay County Sheriff's Office, Orange Park Police Department, and Green Cove Springs Police Department.

Approval of revisions to these policies are necessary to align CCDS Safety and Security policies with current legislation.

Revisions to the above policies have been advertised and are now being submitted to the public for comment/hearing, considered, and approved for the safety and security of Clay County District Schools.

Approve as advertised revisions to School Board Safety and Security policies.
