Title C20 - Walden University Inter-Agency Agreement
Description This is an agreement between Walden University and Clay County School District to provide student teacher internship programs to prepare future educators to enter the workplace.
Gap Analysis The district has a history of providing opportunities for interns and student teachers to prepare our future work force.
Previous Outcomes Not applicable
Expected Outcomes Teachers with student interns are able to support and challenge them to grow. The relationship acts as the environment for transformational learning. This partnership will allow the district to build a capable staff, to help create an attitude of lifeloong learning among all teachers, and will build higher motivation and job satisfaction. The process of mentoring an intern leads teachers to reflect in ways that lead to new and different ways of thinking aboaut their leadership; we practice "looking in the mirror" at our own actions and behaviors. This requires that we step outside of ourselves and evaluate our leadership in relation to the broader school and systemic context as part of the learning process.
