Description Award BID as required per FS 287, DOE 6A-1.012 and School Board Policy a. Refuse Collection - County Wide Bid #23-BA-129: Contract Period is for a three (3) year period from October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2026 with the option to renew for three (3) additional one (1) year contract periods upon mutual agreement, in writing. Bid established for the purchase of qualified labor, equipment and supervision to perform Refuse Collection, Recycle Collection and Roll Off Container Services county wide. The vendors awarded are the lowest, most responsive and responsible qualified bidder meeting specifications. b. Band Instruments Bid # 23-SCH-95: Contract period is for one (1) year from September 8, 2023 through September 7, 2024. Bid established for the purchase of Band Instruments as needed throughout the District. The primary vendor awarded is the lowest responsive and responsible bid. The secondary vendor awarded is the second lowest responsive and responsible bid. | ||
Gap Analysis The District requires contractors to provide services to ensure our ​​facilities and equipment are maintained and functional. The District requires vendors to provide products to ensure our students and staff receive the items to meet their needs. | ||
Previous Outcomes Prior Board approved Bid for refuse collection will expire but was used successfully during the past terms to provide quality services and products to the district. No prior Bid for Band Instruments has been awarded. | ||
Expected Outcomes Upon approval by the Board, we expect the vendor to provide quality services and products at the terms and conditions listed in the Bid. | ||

Financial Impact a. Refuse Collection - County Wide Bid #23-BA-129: The total estimated expenditure for the three (3) year contract is $3,600,000. Estimated annual spend of $1,200,000 for 2023-24, $1,200,000 for 2024-25, and $1,200,000 for 2025-26 from General Revenue. b. Band Instruments Bid # 23-SCH-95: The total estimated expenditure for the one (1) year contract is $85,000 from General Revenue. | ||
